Type or paste text directly into SnapVerbo
Sometimes you don’t have a photo or a shareable link — you just heard a word and want to look it up. Use the keyboard input.
Steps
- Open SnapVerbo. You’ll land on the Capture screen.
- In the bottom row, tap the keyboard icon (next to the camera and gallery icons).
- The Shared text screen opens with an empty field and the keyboard ready.
- Type the word, phrase, or sentence — or paste it from the clipboard.
- As you type, SnapVerbo detects the language and shows the translation below.
- Tap Save to vocabulary (the bookmark icon, top-right) to keep it.
Tips
- The keyboard icon’s tooltip is “Type text to define or translate” — long-press any unfamiliar icon on the Capture screen and a tooltip will tell you what it does.
- Paste works for long passages too — useful for transcripts, song lyrics, or quotes from a friend’s message.
- The entry won’t have an image, just the text and translation. That’s fine — you can still rate it in flashcards and add notes later.
