Share text from another app into SnapVerbo
You don’t need a photo to capture vocabulary. If you can select text in another app, you can send it to SnapVerbo with the system share sheet.
Steps
- In any app — Chrome, Safari, Kindle, Messages, Notes — select a word, sentence, or paragraph the way you normally would (long-press and drag the handles).
- Tap Share in the selection menu.
- From the share sheet, choose SnapVerbo.
- SnapVerbo opens to the Shared text screen with the text already filled in. The translation appears below.
- Tap the Save to vocabulary icon (bookmark, top-right) when you’re ready to keep it.
Tips
- The source app and (when available) the page URL are saved with the entry, so you remember where the word came from.
- If the auto-detected language is wrong, tap the Source language picker (under the text field) and pick the right one.
- If you want translations in a different language than your default, tap the Target language picker next to it.
- Tap the speaker icon to hear the original text read aloud.
